This award winning build is combination of vision from Kerr Ritchie Architects and the craftsmanship of of Velvin Construction. Based on the hills of Queenstown this challenging hill site is now home to an elegant architectural home with phenomenal views of the Remarkables and Lake Wakatipu.
The clients wanted a narrower profile to provide that architectural look at 65mm over 115mm. It achieves this and more with nearly 100% of the exterior covered in Mixed Pale Hardwood Cladding – a blend of blonde Class 1 (40 year plus durable) eucalyptus species. Given the harsh climate experienced in Central Otago, this rugged timber can now be left to age naturally without the hassle of regular maintenance.
