The Governors Bay Jetty Restoration Trust was established in 2015 for Governors Bay residents for the purpose of restoring the Governors Bay Jetty. It became apparent that it was uneconomic to restore and instead a rebuild was planned. Construction work on the rebuild commenced in 2022 and was completed in August 2023.

In carrying out preliminary design work for the rebuild project, LMA Timber Ltd provided advice and support at no cost to the Trust along with being involved in many fundraising activities for the Trust. Subsequently, the Trust engaged LMA Timber Ltd to supply Australian hardwood timber for the rebuild – including piles, planks, stringers and capping beams.

The Trust commends LMA Timber Ltd to anyone considering undertaking a similar project in which a timber specialist who provides helpful, advice, and approachable and communicative personnel is sought.

The jetty rebuild has been a great success and the dedication and “make it work” approach of Martin, Fliss and the LMA Team has been instrumental in achieving this success.
