We supply non-treated class 1 hardwood (reclaimed and sustainably sourced) hardwood to vineyards around New Zealand, including esteemed clients like Pernod Ricard Winemakers – Church Road. Our hardwood timbers stand as a superior alternative to chemically treated posts, especially favoured by organic and boutique vineyards.
This shift away from CCA treated posts is driven by concerns about soil leaching and the challenges in disposing of old/broken posts, particularly when mechanically harvested. Our non-treated hardwood ensures that at the end of the post/strainers/stays lifecycle, the hardwood can be repurposed or used as firewood without any harmful off-gassing chemicals.

As part of our commitment to sustainability and responsibility at Pernod Ricard Winemakers, we were looking for a partner that could support us with trellis alternatives that are not only sustainable, but also meet the needs of the vineyard and the surrounding environment.
