Heatwood Engineered Flooring
Parquetry Spotted Gum
We have New Zealand exclusive rights to the groundbreaking stone-based engineered flooring call HEATWOOD. Traditionally, combining timber floors with in-floor heating has been challenging. This holds true for solid timber and most traditional ply-based engineered timber floorboards available today.
HEATWOOD completely solves these issues. With its patented reconstituted composite stone base and genuine timber lamella, HEATWOOD offers superior thermal flooring properties, even when your heating system isn’t active. It’s an excellent conductor of heat, providing highly efficient under timber floor heating, and it delivers the natural warmth only a heated wood floor can.
HEATWOOD delivers exceptional heat conductivity, cleanly and efficiently transferring heat up to 66 degrees without compromising the timber. This provides an all-around heated wood floor solution.
Unlike traditional ply-based and solid timber flooring, HEATWOOD is specifically designed so that the heat doesn’t destabilise your timber floor. Our 15mm thick boards, featuring a 13mm composite stone base, allow HEATWOOD to handle direct heat in a way that solid wood flooring simply can’t. This ensures a stable and reliable under timber floor heating system.
HEATWOOD features an excellent heat conductivity rating and a remarkably low R-value of 0.66. Simply put, HEATWOOD flooring is the most efficient timber thermal flooring product for transferring heat from the substrate through your floor. This low R-value makes it an ideal contributor to both Geothermal and Passive House applications. If you’re seeking the perfect evolution in timber flooring for underfloor heating, HEATWOOD is your solution.
HEATWOOD flooring is available in a multitude of colours and finishes to match any design aesthetic. We can also accommodate custom orders for parquetry and wider boards, ensuring your heated wood floor perfectly complements your space.
